MakerspaceDevelopment.com continues the conversation that was started with the publication of Makerspace Development: Surviving the Next Wave. This short e-guide talks about the need to empower local creatives and increase the size of America’s creative class.
This website is focused on the many challenges facing America and how makerspace development can be used to resolve them. It covers the opportunities for change along the side the very causes that result in the very need for change.
MakerspaceDevelopment.com can be somewhat confusing because it must serve constituents at very different stages in their makerspace development process. Email lists were created so that constituents could be updated about the availability of new content that may interest them.
The Makerspace email list provides basic information for people who are new to the makerspace development process or have not yet committed to starting. It provides updates on the latest tools and identifies new best practices.
The PVSONow email list is for people who have some experience with makerspace development and want to expand their entrepreneurship programs so that they can better serve veterans. Also, we will be talking a lot about the untapped potential that veterans represent.
There is an online course/simulation, called Makerspace Development 101, available for people who want a better understanding of the basics of makerspace development. This course can be used to jump-start a new makerspace development program or provide a fall back place to regroup.
