Both the practice of makerspace development and America would benefit from a Midwest option.
A Midwest option would look a lot like the small-town option. It would require a minimum of upfront capital. It would require very little in the way of existing infrastructure. The difference is that it would cater to an older and less technology conversant population.
Many of the aging Midwest workers are also former military. They got their discharge paperwork and in short order signed on to manufacturing positions. . They too should be encouraged to keep their heads in the game.
